formed with HQ at Auckland by amalgamation of 3rd Battalion (Auckland (Countess of Ranfurly's Own) and Northland), RNZIR and all T.F. arms in the province:
 
  • Ranfurly Company at Auckland (Auckland, Ranfurly, Northland Plns), formed from 3 RNZIR
  • Northland Company at Whangerei, formed from 3 RNZIR
  • Commmunication Information Systems Company (including engineer, 1 Signal Sqn, MP det and Int det)
  • Recruit Training Company
  • 11/4 Battery, (Artillery, Mortar, Support Plns) formed by amalgamation of Mortar Platoon, 3 RNZIR; 11(A) Battery and 4(G) Medium Battery, 16th Field Regiment RNZA
  • 1 Signals Squadron
  • 1 Logistics Company, formed by 1st Logistics Company, 2nd Logistics Regiment, RNZLR
  • 1 Health Company (including medical company and dental platoon), formed by 1st Field Ambulance, RNZAMC; and 1st Mobile Dental Unit, RNZDC
